I love Torrey Pines! One of our favorite things to do is stroll along this beautiful coast.. what better way than way up top!! My daughters think we are on top of the world! Besides the fact it is gorgeous, it is great exercise and a great FREE thing to do with your kids! Torrey Pines is a State Natural Reserve and there are many trails to explore. The ocean views are amazing and the crisp air is so refreshing.. I mean, don’t you just feel better when you are near the ocean? If you go early enough in the morning, you can spot actual paw markings from animals along the trails. We park up top but you can also park on the street below for free too and conquer that hill!

The fee for parking in the lot is $10.  The hours are 7am until sunset.

There is no food or water available for purchase so pack some snacks and water for your fun journey, you can snack at the beach, but they advise not to on the trails. There are lots of look out benches to take a rest but that breathtaking view along the coast will make you forget you are actually exercising! There are different trails so if you have little ones, I’d go for the beach trail, it’s half trail and half beach.. Don’t forget sunscreen and your CAMERA!!!!

There are little caves to explore {which are great photo ops}, beautiful trees…we look for birds, lizards, squirrels and we actually spotted a raccoon once! This hike is a must do and it will then become a family fav, I am pretty sure of it!
