All SD County Libraries participate in ‘Fine Free Friday’ – if you have an overdue book/DVD/CD or other material from the Library make sure to bring it back THIS Friday – ALL FEES will be forgiving – for reals!
We are a busy family & regularly forget to return on time – Fine Free Friday has saved our family quite a bit over the years!
The Libraries really do not make their money on the fines – they just want their books back – trying to track them down or replacing them is very costly – so make sure to bring them back – and if they are overdue – make sure it is on the last Friday of the month!

Just a note – they have recently made a change so that the fines will only be forgiven if the items were due in the current month. So if the items were due in November and you return them the last Friday in December the fines are not forgiven. But items that were due in December are eligible. The website doesn’t explain why they made the change, but it is still a great deal! It’s going to save me some money this month
