Anybody looking to get rid of some of that Halloween candy? Our kid’s favorite is the Candy Buyback program through a huge network of dentists. They will buy the kid’s candy for $1 lb and they send it to the troops serving overseas. The troops enjoy it and they also share it with kids there. We let our kids save a small portion of their candy and we sell the rest back. They get to keep the money and they get to do immediately to wherever they choose. Sometimes they want to buy a Starbucks vanilla steamer or sometimes they want to go to the 99 cents store for a little toy or two. Either way they are super happy, they have been a part of the decision making, AND I have gotten a boat load of candy out of our house!
