Just wanted to share a little pic of Baby C trying to stay cool in this summer Fall Heat Wave! We blew up the pool (which we bought at an ‘adoption fund’ garage sale three years ago!) and the kids went crazy!
One cool thing to point out is that cloth diapers can double as a swim diaper! Even if you do not want to cloth exclusively – consider them as swim diapers! I WISH I knew this when my big kids were little! It did not occur to me until they were in swim lessons. My son was nearly 3 and all kids under 3 had to wear a reusable swim diaper – no exceptions. He had already outgrown the need for a diaper, but it was the rule. I made a mental note that it was really just a cloth diaper and that I would not be purchasing swim diapers for future kiddos – we would just use a cloth. This was even before we decided to cloth diaper on a daily basis too!
We still had a half pack in the closet of disposable swim diapers left over from our big kids. We saved them and we use those when we go out to a public place, but at home we use a cloth. When we run out of disposables you can bet we will be using our cloth diapers out and about too! Disposable swim diapers are pretty pricey so it is a pretty easy way to save at least a couple bucks a month. Just an idea I thought I should probably pass along…..
