2/3 – CARDIFF BY THE SEA | Sunday Family Fun Day (FREE)

Head to San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center for some fun, nature-themed crafts and activities. Topics vary with the seasons so there is always something new to discover. This winter, explore birds of the lagoon, and in spring, we’ll host activities on everything from pollinators to flowers, and more. The whole family will enjoy exploring Nature Center exhibits and loop trails. This event is free; donations are accepted. All ages are welcome.

2/06 – OCEANSIDE | Creating Change Through Art Making (FREE)

Kick start your art making practice at the Oceanside Public Library this year. Join us for a 12-week series taught by local artist, Todd Gomes Aviv. The class will use poetry, song lyrics, essays and other library materials as inspiration. From the materials, each student will develop a visual concept and complete a visual interpretation to add to their sketchbooks. This sketchbook will become a toolkit to help develop creative ideas. Registration is required, as space is limited to 15, and students must commit to all classes. Sign up in person at any Oceanside Public Library location or call (760) 435-5600.

2/07 OCEANSIDE | Sunset Market (FREE)

2/15– ENCINITAS | Sweetheart’s Ball ($6 – $9)

Light hors d’oeuvres, treats, and refreshments will be provided. Photo backdrops will be available so bring your camera to capture your memories of the evening. This is a family event for children on up to grandparents.

2/23– ESCONDIDO | Walk for Animals: North County ($5 – $30)

Join us on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 for North County’s largest dog walk: the Walk for Animals – North County, a 2-mile walk at Kit Carson Park. You and your canine companions will have a great time as we celebrate our love for animals, while raising vital funds for San Diego Humane Society. Early bird pricing is in effect until Jan. 31. Register early to save! Adults (ages 18+) – Early Bird $10, Feb.1-Feb. 22 $20, Day-of event $30Children (ages 17 and under) – Early Bird $5, Feb.1-Feb. 22 $10, Day-of event $15Cat Nappers (Individuals who are raising funds but not attending the Walk): $10
