A family outing to a Padres game can be a splurge, but not on Friar Family Days! Friar Family Days at Petco Park is an awesome value and a great way to see a Padres game!
A ticket to a game at Petco Park is fun in and of itself, but Friar Days come with so much more. Tickets are $15 for kids 14 years old and younger. Adult tickets are $20. Included in that price is your admission to the ball game, family-friendly activities, and even a hot dog and soda! Check out the Friar Family Days Schedule – there are several dates left in the season.
The family-friendly activities vary each day.
Sundays: KidsFest, inflatables, face painters, postgame Kids Run the Bases*
Mondays: giveaway item (selection available on a first-come, first-served basis)
Tuesdays: postgame Kids Run the Bases*
Wednesdays: baseball/softball clinic on the wiffle ball field in Park at the Park
We attended KidsFest at the park on Sunday. 2.5 hours before the game there are activities for the kids to enjoy! Most activities stay open during the game. The kids jumped in inflateable bounce houses, had balloon animals made, and played several carnival games with prizes. We were extra excited to meet the costumed characters from Hotel Transylvania 3! All of these activities were included, but make sure to bring a few dollars for tips for balloon artists and face painters.
But wait, there’s more!
Friar Family Days are just one of the many family-friendly activities and promotions available at Petco
Park. The Padres offer a Compadres Kids loyalty program for kids 14 and under that is free to join and kids can
earn exclusive prizes for each game they attend. Compadres Kids can also earn points to redeem for rewards
and exclusive experiences such as the Compadres Kids Autograph Zone during batting practice. Also through
this program, Compadres Kids get access to events every Sunday, including Compadres Kids Sunday Signings
(an autograph session with Padres players), Kids Run the Bases, Catch on the Field and Photo Day. More
information about Compadres Kids is available at www.padres.com/compadres.
This was our first major league baseball game as a family. Harry has been to a couple games with friends and family over the years. I hadn’t been to a game at Petco in more than a decade. Our oldest daughter was not sure about how fun a baseball game might be, but she was won over within minutes of stepping in the stadium. Our littlest was in heaven with all the excitement.
The highlight was during the first inning where a ball came straight towards our son. It literally landed in his glove. He was so shocked he actually let it slip out of his glove back onto the field!! We were all so sad until the player tossed it back up to him! Best souvenier ever!
Thank you to the Padres for having us out, we can’t wait to visit again!
