Halloween Happenings at The Disneyland Resort!
In San Diego we are just a short drive from the Disneyland Resort. The holidays are a perfect time to take that drive up! Halloween Time at Disneyland is especially magical and fun. Disney offers classic fun year after year but also something new every time we go. Here are some of the fun Halloween Happenings at the Disneyland Resort for 2016!
Mickey’s Halloween Party is where it is at! Tickets go on sale in July but always sell out quickly. While Mickey’s Halloween Party is completely sold out for the 2016 season, I want to take this opportunity to say start saving for next year! Select dates from late September all the way through Halloween night are especially fun at Disneyland Park. Rides stay open for this special ticketed event and exclusive entertainment is around every corner. Crowds are kept small so lines are much shorter than a typical visit. Admission is also lower than a day ticket. And no Southern California trick or treat event can compare to the amazing candy haul our kids come home with after each visit! Keep your eyes peeled for Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets for next year, we will announce when they go on sale in July!
A special new addition to Mickey’s Halloween Party is the all new Halloween Parade. Make sure to get your seat early so you do not miss the Headless Horseman! The new parade features dancers and floats from The Haunted Mansion and villains from several Disney movies. This new parade is only part of Mickey’s Halloween Party and is included with your ticket.
While Mickey’s Halloween Party tickets are sold out for 2016, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the festivities! Halloween time has some of the most delicious sweet and savory treats that are simply adorable. The Haunted Mansion transforms into “Haunted Mansion Holiday” for the rest of the year. Space Mountain is extra thrilling as “Ghost Galaxy” and is not for the faint of heart. Halloween decor is all over the park; Main Street USA is especially charming. Mickey, Minnie, and many of their friends are also dressed in adorable Halloween costumes for photo ops. The Disneyland Resort is just such a great place for not so spooky Halloween fun!
Across the street from Disneyland at Disney’s California Adventure Park guests can also enjoy some spooky fun! Don’t miss the opportunity to ride Tower of Terror. This is the perfect ride for this scary season and it closes forever early in January! Thrill seekers will be happy to know that by Summer 2017 the attraction will reopen as a Guardians of the Galaxy ride that is promised to be just as exciting. I will share more when it opens too.
*I just had to share this picture right outside Tower of Terror! Our kids (even Little Miss C!) had just conquered their fear of the kinda spooky ride! If you ever have the chance to visit Disneyland with a group of friends it is even extra magical! The kids love making memories at Disney with their buddies year after year!*
While it is still might feel like Summer, Fall is definitely in full swing at the Disneyland Resort. Thanks,
