The weather might not feel like winter, but the holidays are here! LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad is getting into the celebration too! While the celebration began in November, children and their families can enjoy the holiday festivities now through January 1st! Here are some of the things you do not want to miss!
Fun Town is where you will see most of the holiday decorations. LEGOLAND boasts the world’s largest LEGO Christmas Tree! It stans 30 feet tall and is constructed of more than 245,000 forest green DUPLO bricks. The tree is covered with more than 400 LEGO ornaments and thousands of LED lights! You can also take a photo with life sized LEGO santa with his reindeer. There is also a special holiday show featuring elves and carols. Make sure to enjoy a special holiday themed snack as you stroll through and enjoy all the holidays have to offer in Fun Town.
Heartlake City has even more wintery fun! Kids can enjoy a holiday themed show and join in building activities in the Heartlake city stables. A traveling live band fills the land with music fit for the season. Character meet and greats include LEGO Santa and LEGO Toy Soldier. Special treats are available in Heartlake City too!
New this year – LEGOLAND is also offering exclusive retail deals for shoppers looking for the perfect LEGO gift. See their site for more details.
No trip to LEGOLAND is ever complete without a stop at the aquarium and hotel! SEA LIFE® aquarium and LEGOLAND® Hotel. SEA LIFE aquarium has a special holiday themed daily dive show and winter craft activities. LEGOLAND Hotel has also gotten in the holiday spirit with festive decorations, holiday entertainment and its own LEGO Christmas tree. Kids will also enjoy special holiday themed games and story time at the castle, plus building contests themed for the festivities.
One of the best holiday traditions for young families is the grand finale of the holiday season at LEGOLAND. Midnight comes early with a special LEGO brick dropping to ring in 2018. There are exciting fireworks and special musical performances. The brick drop happens at 6pm so even the youngest kids can enjoy the end of the year celebration and not miss bedtime.
