ESCONDIDO: Interpretive Walk at Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve (FREE)

On Sunday, January 8, 10am to 11:30am, join Donna Walker, a native San Diegan, and explore the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve to increase your appreciation and knowledge of the native plants, animals, and history of the Reserve. Most walks last for an hour-and-a-half and cover less than one mile of easy terrain. Meet at the Interpretive Center. CARLSBAD: Carlsbad Film Series: Hail, Caesar! PG-13 (FREE)

On Wednesday, January 11, 6pm to 8pm, kick back, relax and enjoy the film “Hail, Caesar!” A Hollywood fixer, Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), in the 1950s works for a film studio to keep big name stars from scandal and public scrutiny. When Baird (George Clooney), the studio’s biggest star, goes missing Mannix’s work becomes more difficult trying to hold off the gossip columnists. ENCINITAS: Moonlight State Beach Cleanup (FREE)

On Saturday, January 21 at 9am, join fellow ocean-lovers as they help keep the beach free of trash – especially the small pieces of trash and cigarette butts that often look like food to sea creatures. In lieu of plastic bags, please bring a bucket or reusable bag and gloves. Under 18? That’s ok! Just plan to have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

DEL MAR: Vinyasa Yoga on Del Mar Beach ($10-$15 suggested donation)

Spend your Sundays from 10am-11am enjoying a one-hour yoga sesh with the relaxing backdrop of Del Mar Beach, all while becoming a healthier you! All experience levels are welcome. Meet up on the sand between 18th and 19th Street.
