Summer may be coming to a close on the calendar, but it isn’t slowing down at Vista’s famous outdoor theater. There are two more plays to enjoy at Moonlight this season! If you haven’t been yet, make your plans! This unique outdoor theater venue hosts professional actors and live musicians for top notch performances.

Titanic the Musical opened this Wednesday to a standing ovation. Moonlight Stage Productions presents Peter Stone and Maury Yeston’s Tony Award winning production of TITANIC: THE MUSICAL. The San Diego Regional Premiere is on stage at the Moonlight Amphitheatre August 17 – September 3, 2016.

Titanic The Musical is based on actual events (You won’t see Rose and Jack).  While most of us know the tragic story of the maiden voyage of the ship ‘even God could not sink’, the musical retells it in a way that is even more beautiful and tragic. The actors, the 26 piece orchestra, costumes, sets, and lighting will all take your breath away!

Don’t miss Titanic The Musical and save a spot on your calendar for The Adam’s Family starting September 14th (more on that to come!)

Growing up in Vista I have fond memories of seeing several plays each year under the stars and the moonlight.  Moonlight productions have become a family and date night tradition for our family each summer as well.  If you are in North County, Moonlight is a must!  If you are not local to North County but a lover of theater it is well worth the drive.  Seeing a Moonlight production is a great way to support the arts and also our county.  A few actors come in from far away places, but most are San Diego locals!

Bring your own picnic dinner, or purchase from the restaurant.  Leave alcohol at home, but there are several wines and beers available for purchase.

Tickets are available for assigned seats and assigned lawn seating.  Gone are the days where you would need to line up an hour or more in advance to stake your claim on the lawn.  There are still spots above to pick your own seating for a lower ticket price.  Each lawn ticket includes a low back chair rental, make sure to leave your chairs at home.
