Posted on: March 2nd, 2014 by Kate Hamernik

Flower Fields Carlsbad

Spring is upon us & there are all sorts of fun things to do in North County San Diego. Here’s the Top 3 things to do with your family this month!

The Carlsbad Flower Fields are open to the public, beginning 3/1. The Flower Fields hosts all sorts of events while their open & this month on March 30th, it’s Kid’s Day! There’s tons of activities including arts and crafts, face painting and Ronald McDonald. Plus, there’s a Sweet Pea Maze, Santa’s Playground and live music. Don’t miss this great day full of family fun!  We wrote about the Carlsbad Flower Fields last year too – check out the article for even more info!  Below is a video from last year – this year is looking like it will be as lovely as last year too!

It’s your lucky day! The 3rd Annual North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival is on Sunday 3/16 at 10am. Be sure to get there before the Parade which starts at 11am. The festival is on Indiana Ave and Main St, Downtown Vista.  *This is a really fun event for the whole family!  If you are in Vista or even close, it is totally worth checking out this parade and festival!*

Ponds, trails, playgrounds…the list goes on & on at Kit Carson Park Escondido. This family friendly park for just about every outdoor activity imaginable! With the spring weather upon us, it feels great to take advantage of our wonderful parks here in North County.
