Things to do in November in San Diego!
After candy overload, carving pumpkins and costume parties, it is time to switch gears. There are a lot of fall festivals and other fun events to keep the entire family entertained while not burdening your budget, during the month of November. After all, Christmas is just around the corner so saving every penny now counts! Too soon to mention Christmas? Forget I said anything and stay focused on the November fall activities…with a few Christmas activities sprinkled in…in San Diego. Enjoy!
Country Christmas Tree Lighting
Festivities start at 2pm in Pioneer Park
Surfin’ Santa Arrival at the annual Waterfront celebration
Festivities kick off at 1pm with Santa arriving in a Dragon Boat. Visitors can take free photos with Santa on his giant surfboard and 6 foot wave until 5pm. Cutoff time for the line pictures is 4pm. After his arrival at 1pm, Santa will ride in a red convertible in a parade with stilt walkers, music and holiday cheer. In addition to the parade there will be crafting and live street performances.
Fallback Festival and Historic Children’s Street Faire
The whole family can enjoy blacksmithery, pony riding, gold mining, churning butter, dipping candles, FREE food and learning about the Gaslamp’s history.
The Water Conservation Garden Autumn Fest and Plant Sale
$5 for ages 12+, $3 ages 3-11, Free for members and kids under 2
Take the whole family and enjoy kid’s activities, a petting zoo, plant sales, food trucks, craft vendors, beer garden and live entertainment. There will also be a special “ask the designer” landscape consultations (due to the popularity of this feature, reservations are recommended). Register at the link below for fast and easy admission.
